The History Over 200 years ago a community was established that had a greater effect on the missions movement and spiritual awakenings throughout the last 200 years than most people realize. This community was known as the Moravians, and their influence came from their commitment to 24/7 prayer, which lasted for 100 years. God is stirring the still-hot coals of 24/7 prayer once again, and they are bursting into flame all over the world right now. It is the younger generation that is catching this dream of God, and they are giving their very lives to see 24/7 prayer cover the earth. YWAM is becoming a part of this dream, and the possibility that God desires to pour out on YWAM the same anointing that rested on the Moravians for 24/7 prayer and missions is incredible! The Vision The vision of this Prayer Room is to provide a dwelling place for the presence of God, a place where we can enter in, lay down our burdens, boldly approach our Father's throne, and converse with Him. It's a place where we can study His features and hear His heartbeat, a place where His dreams can be whispered into our hearts and His revelations into our spirits, and a place where God can share the burdens on His heart with us. We can actually share in the fellowship of His suffering for a little while, laboring along side Him in prayer to see restoration and redemption. The Prayer Room is a place of safety where we can feel free to respond to God in worship in whatever form is burning inside of us. Jesus' passion for His Father to have a "house of prayer for all nations" has not lessened since His time here on earth, and this little room is our attempt to fulfill that desire of Jesus' heart. The décor and style of this room is an expression of this generation's deep longing for intimacy, as well as a place of peace and safety. Yet, it also expresses the creative nature of God and His great passion for intimacy with His children, as well as a reverence for His holiness. So, come in, take off your shoes, and let His presence wash over you. Open up your heart to hear His whispers and prepare to cry, to laugh, and to create with Him. Then watch how the destinies of nations, ministries, and individuals are transformed! The Hours of Operation The Prayer Room is not open to the public 24/7/365 yet, but we hope one day we will reach that goal.
