Brett Franke
Brett is a transplanted Canadian that started in YWAM through a summer camp almost 20 years ago, SST's Rock! Once the hook was set, he's been on the YWAM line ever since. During his time in YWAM Brett's been to 6 different countries, taken several different training courses from Biblical Studies to Christian Counselling and done everything from digging ditches to building websites.  Presently he is exploring new passions that God has put in his heart like writing, helping meet the needs of orphans and doing something about the atrocities of human trafficking. Brett is married with two wonderful, cute, hilarious children, of whom the source material for his writing flows in abundance.

In Return

It's His love and goodness I desire,

A Day to Remember PDF Print E-mail

It started as a day like any other. Almost. My wife, Steph, who home schools our two children, had an early morning meeting at the YWAM training center, so I decided to help out while I waited for her to return. This was not a light undertaking for me.

Let’s just say that school was not my forte. The closest I’d come to working hard and doing well in my primary education was to find the lowest grade that my parents were okay with and shoot for that. Yep, instead of reach for the stars, it was reach for just above your belly button. I guess a good thing about this was that I never failed to reach my goals. I’d be a great semi-motivational speaker: “If you just can’t seem to meet your expectations, they're too dang high! If you want to feel good about yourself, shoot for mediocrity. You're sure to accomplish it.” I’d make millions (if I got paid for all the goals that were met and not per satisfied customer)!
