The end of all learning is to know God, and out of that knowledge to love and imitate Him eternally. – John Milton
God is after the individual’s whole heart for He knows if our heart is not completely His it is not His at all. Jeremiah 24:7 says, “And I will give them a heart to know Me, that I am Jehovah…” Therefore, God is always working to teach us how much He loves us so that we might return to Him and walk in His light. Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go; and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” God has a method and a reason for training up His children.
God constantly inspires us with His love and wisdom that we might love Him with all our heart, soul, mind and strength. This enables us to love our neighbor as ourselves. I propose to you that God teaches us about Himself through history: “The greatest love story ever written,” as my father would say. History reveals God’s great love towards us. |
