Rodger and Katrina met in the fall of 2002 at their home church in Wichita, Kansas. They were both surprised to meet somebody there who had a heart for missions and for YWAM. Rodger had traveled for a year with Impact World Tour, riding a freestyle BMX bicycle during ministry campaigns. Katrina had just returned from her Teachers for the Nations outreach to Kenya. After seven short months of dating and serving their home church, they got married. In 2004 they came to YWAM Tyler so Rodger could attend DTS and SOE training schools, and Katrina joined staff at Fatherheart maternity home.


(RODGER) YWAM Tyler has been a platform and a community where God has birthed in me visions for the nations of the world, and it is an atmosphere of learning how to apply those visions. I have been discipled here by incredible men and women. It has taught me how to be an effective minister of the gospel. I can’t express how grateful I am for the committed staff members around me here at YWAM Tyler who have pioneered in the kingdom of God, and who have a heart to raise others up along the way.

Since coming on staff at YWAM Tyler, Rodger and Katrina have led training schools outreaches to Haiti and in the USA. They have also served logistically around the campus in the Audio/Visual Department, Kitchen, Substation Cafe, Fatherheart, and Advancement Office. They both have a heart to see young people launched into the nations of the world from YWAM Tyler.

(KATRINA) As a teenage girl, I dreamed of being a missionary. YWAM Tyler has been the vehicle in my life that God has used to educate me and send me to the world. I am grateful for the revelation and education I have gained while being here the past 10 years.

Currently Katrina is planning to travel to YWAM Tyler’s satellite ministry in New Orleans and serve them while they host a Living Alternatives workshop. Rodger is hard at work in the Mobilization Department, managing the new YWAM Tyler video cast. Together they are preparing to lead the Phase 3 SST to Guadalajara, Mexico this summer.
