Frankes return from Russia!

Love Your Neighbor. . .
familysnowLove the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind, and love your neighbor as yourself. The Lord gave us this verse for our outreach and it is exactly what we did. We ministered in an orphanage and feed homeless people on the streets. We conducted several church services and encouraged the Body of Christ. Also, several teenagers who lived in the same apartments as we did, accepted Jesus as their Savior. As God worked in our hearts as a team, tons of His ministry of love flowed out of us.

Claudia
A Brazilian girl named Claudia loved the country of Russia ever since she was a little girl. Her mom used to buy her books about Russia and Claudia would say that she would go there some day. About three years ago, at the age of 25, Claudia met Jes us and her heart for Russia was re-ignited. She began to pray. She soon moved to Texas to learn English for a year at Youth With A Mission in Tyler to prepare for the day when she might move to Russia. After that year she attended a five-month Discipleship Training School (DTS). The classroom training was difficult for Claudia because of the language barrier, but the Lord blesses those who diligently seek Him, and so Claudia was blessed with understanding.
flagrussia When it came time to give the options of where the DTS would go on outreach we had origanally planned on going to Canada, but God had different plans. Chad and I felt a tug in our hearts toward Russia. When we shared this with the school, Claudia could not believe it! She thanked the Lord for her dream t hat was coming true. It is so neat that God used us in His life-plan for Claudia. She had a wonderful time in Russia and would often say, "I love the Russian people, they are so beautiful." She felt that things there were very familiar, that it was like home. Claudia ministered to many and really connected with the people there. She plans to go back as a missionary long-term.

Hanna
hannaHanna, from Finland, was also on our team. She is a very peaceful and quiet girl who loves the Lord. At the beginning of our outreach she expressed her fear of praying for people. She wasn't sure what to say or how to do it. I prayed with her and encouraged her to trust the Lord and really listen to His voice; that He would direct her. After three and a half weeks in Russia, God chang ed Hanna. In our last service she prayed for four girls. She told us that one girl was crying as she was praying. Later she said, "Wow! God, I know this is You working through me, thank you!" I know that God will continue to give Hanna boldness and confidence because He has definitely called her into the ministry.

"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the great and the foremost commandment, and the second is like it, you shall love your neighbor as yourself."

~Matthew 22: 37-39
