Having a keen sense for the obvious we know that everyone grows up eventually. Therefore we understand those of you who are thinking,
"I need to spend five months in a room full of young zealots like I need to vacation with my in-laws for a month!" That's why we'd like to
suggest hanging out with the older. . . uh, more mature zealots. The Crossroads DTS is similar to the DTS but designed specifically for
families and the not-so-young missionary in you.
This five-month program is broken into a three-month teaching phase and an eight-week outreach phase. The classroom time aims to:
| • |
Teach you about the Bible so you have a good
foundation for your life |
| • |
Teach you about what God is like and to know Him |
| • |
Teach you to hear His voice (yes, He speaks!),
to pray, and to obey Him |
| • |
Encourage you to become more like Jesus |
| • |
Encourage you to care for others who do not
know Him |
| • |
Train you in evangelism (how to share your testimony and faith with others) |
| • |
Expand your view of your life to include how you can help influence different areas of society |

outreach
Each of our schools includes an eight week outreach that allows you to apply the principles you soaked up during class. This is eight weeks of life-changing opportunity! It includes sharing the love of God through friendship evangelism, drama, music, teaching and just about any other way you can conjure up. You really can't put God in a box. One day you might be feeding homeless people in Houston or sipping overpriced coffee with college students in Prague and 24 hours later you're preaching the gospel from the back of a yak to a Mongolian nomad who is hearing it for the first time. No kidding. |
