TRAINING

PHILOSOPHY OF TRAINING

Youth With A Mission uses a modular approach to training.  The modular system enhances learning by providing students with intensive and focused time on each topic.  Typically, visiting teachers spend a full week or two in their area of expertise, which allows students to focus on and absorb one subject at a time.  Because YWAM has schools operating in over 140 nations, our curriculum is global, cross-cultural and adaptable.  Our commitment is to keep God in the center of everything we learn and do.

During the training, students live in community with other students and staff.  YWAM believes education best occurs when relationships provide a stable atmosphere for learning.  Teamwork is also an essential component of the students’ experience.  Working in teams allows people to combine their ideas, resources and talents.

Our foundational values are the guiding principles we adhere to.  They are our basic values coupled with specific directives that God has given us as an organization.  Read more about our Foundational Values here.
