Heart of MDC

The Ministry Development Course (MDC) is our advanced training program that is designed to go deeper into God's purpose for you, and how that is expressed. Through instruction, group dynamics, and mentoring, you will have opportunities to identify your spiritual giftings and strengths, and put them into practice.

LECTURE PHASE

This 8-week course of instruction and practical application is aimed at facilitating discovery and achievement of a deeper understanding of your relationship with God, His call on your life, and how to serve God’s purposes for His Church.

You will have practical experience designed for developing a life of spiritual discipline, personal leadership skills and teamwork. Among other practical lecture topics are subjects such as servant leadership, conflict resolution, ministry challenges, and ministry rewards.

OUTREACH PHASE

There is a minimum four week outreach phase (completed within one year after the lecture phase finishes). Where to you ask?? We have several outreach opportunities you can pray about partnering with. That is one of the ways you can practice hearing God's voice, and obey His calling!

PRAYER

Prayer is a vital part of our Christian walk. It is during these times we grab hold of God’s heart. You will engage in rich times of prayer and grow your faith by diving into powerful times of intercession. All campus prayer times lift up, strengthen, and support missionaries from all over the globe.

WORSHIP

God wants us all to see worship is a lifestyle. As we worship our Savior and King, we are catapulted into action. We like to say, "Worship is fuel for missions." You'll definitely grow deeper in your intimacy with God by immersing yourself with inspiring times of worship. 

ONE ON ONE

During your time here at YWAM Tyler, we want to be available to help you process everything He is doing in your life. You'll link up with a mentor who will walk with you through your time here on the campus. Ask the hard questions. Say anything. We want to help you grow.

Vision Building

This is the unique part of MDC. During this time the staff will facilitate you to find your ability, gift, and potential to serve God and His Kingdom. You will be able to join different YWAM Tyler ministry areas to learn how to serve and lead according to God’s call. 

MDC TUITION

$1,650 - Single person*
$3,300 - Married couple*

COST PER CHILD IS:

$240 - 0-1 year
$385 - 2-5 years
$490 - 6-12 years
$655 - 13-17 years

*Lecture phase tuition only. Outreach phase grounds fees and/or airfare are in addition to the tuition cost.The price of the outreach phase will vary depending on where God leads.

Applications should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start of course.
